Snoring is the movement within the throat while breathing through the night that happens during the process of sleeping. More often than not, the loud, obnoxious sounds that come from the throat while snoring is due to the partial collapsing of the neck that makes the inner throat flabbiness to flop back and forth, while sleeping.
Whether the sounds are very soft to especially very loud there is nothing but misery throughout the night for the spouse or partner. When the airflow is irregular, there can be a good number of reasons as to what the real nature of the cause actually is that makes the uncontrollable noise.
For example, it could be too much weight of fat around the neck to weight it down while the throat is relaxed during the sleeping position. It could also be the blockage of the nasal passages that will cause mouth breathing during sleep, and the throat uvula to flap while breathing when lying down.
There can be mishaps of the tongue, jaw or a softer than normal palate problem that is directly causing the misfortunate nightly snoring. If the tongue is too large or falls back too easily and too far into the airway area, there will be snoring a breathing problem while sleeping. The jaw alignment, if too far off will also cause a snoring issue. A soft palate will easily obstruct the breathing while sleeping.
There are a number of steps that can be taken when it comes to stopping the habitual snoring. First, loose the extra weight if that is an issue. If allergies are a problem, find out exactly what is the specific cause of these allergy issues at hand. If you are a cigarette smoker, stop immediately! Not only is smoking a major reason for chronic snoring, but it is a main health hazard that only will wreck havoc upon the body. If you are one to be a daily drinker of alcohol, stop for a while to see if this common form of sedative may be the culprit to your snoring.
Some other very common bad habits is to eat heavy dinners that are enriched with too much dairy products, sugars, heavy meats or even fried foods, and lots of desserts are all regularly misunderstood snoring culprits for many individuals. There are several reasons for these types of foods late at night to be a problem with the first just being that heavy meals late at night in any fashion will not give the appropriate time to digest before laying down to sleep, and the heavy meal can over relax the body, not to mention the massive calories that just add more unwanted weight to also cause habitual snoring.
